Position: South Shore/Annapolis Valley Operations Lead (Internal)
Status: 1 Year Term, Developmental Position, Full-Time
Location: Based out of Bridgewater or Digby area. Traveling will be required.

What will you be doing?

  • Working directly under the Logistics/Inventory/Bulk Plant Manager, Corey Langille, and Distribution/Fleet/Safety Manager, Kyle Fraser.
  • Required to complete various bulk plant duties, perform daily troubleshooting, etc.
  • Required to complete various operational duties, complete pre, and post-trip inspections, etc.
  • A class -3 driver’s license is required as you may have to assume the role of Fuel Delivery Driver as needed/float Drivers as needed.
  • Drivers training
  • Driving delivery truck safely, adhering to all DOT regulations and procedures
  • Receiving, loading, and delivering Jet A1 fuel
  • Working with our dispatch team to coordinate deliveries to residential & commercial customers
  • Loading delivery truck with the required product while adhering to all safety standards
  • Respond to incidents and complete a full investigation and provide a report
  • Completing daily shift reports and other required paperwork
  • Attending mandatory safety meetings

 

Do you have what it takes?

  • Valid class 3 drivers license with air brake endorsement required
  • High School diploma or G.E.D required
  • Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required
  • Previous supervisor experience is considered an asset
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Capable of doing very physical work
  • Able to work a very flexible schedule, including shift work and on-call duties
  • Willing to work on the road for several days while staying in a hotel if necessary
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Relevant driving experience preferred
  • Previous fuel experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to operate standard and automatic transmissions required
  • WHMIS and First Aid Certification considered an asset

Compensation: Salary position, payable bi-weekly.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Saturday and Sunday as needed. On-call 24/7.
